Iran defeats Uruguay in Futsal Confederations Cup

TRIPOLI, Libya- Iran beat Uruguay on Saturday in the Futsal Confederations Cup in Tripoli.

Iran defeated Uruguay 4-2 in its second game in the tournament. Hossein Shams’ team had also beaten Guatemala 4-2 in the opener.

A total of five teams namely, Libya, Iran, Guatemala, Uruguay and the Solomon Islands have participated in the tournament.

The winner of the tournament will receive $50,000 while the bottom placed team will walk away with $10,000.

The tournament has been approved by FIFA
