Monday, 19 July 2010 10:12 Chengdu: Chengdu Football Association General Secretary Gu Jianming has made elaborate plans once the Chengdu Futsal Park is thrown open to public towards the end of this year.
The ground-breaking ceremony of the stunning park will take place at the hands of AFC President Mohamed Bin Hammam, who witnessed the devastation of Chengdu after the earthquake in 2008.AFC and its partners donated more than half a million dollars to the Chengdu FA to revive citys football activities.We have planned to provide free training to primary and middle school students regularly, Gu told the-afc.com ahead of Wednesdays ceremony.The total cost of the project is around 4.8 million dollars and we will collect the remaining amount from the public.We are aiming to make this park the best integrated futsal parks in China and leave a shining landmark in the history of Chinese football.The Chengdu FA is also planning to set up a passageway in the park to present the history of football.
