RAMSEY'S Rob Collister has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 11th World University Futsal Championships that begin in Slovenia next week.

The University of Sheffield student has been involved in the modified indoor five-a-side soccer game in the UK for more than five years as well as being a regular fixture for Ramsey AFC in the Sure Mobile Premier League when he is back in the Island.

Rob, who is set to complete his final architecture exams in October, will be part of the British team who will face the likes of China, Kazakhstan and hosts Slovenia in the group stages as a host of clubs eye the ultimate prize.

The matches will be played in the Bonifica Indoor Stadium in the nation's capital Ljubljana in front of thousands of spectators where it is hoped the British side can live up to expectations and launch a serious threat for the overall crown.
