Luparense Calcio A/5 stormed into the early lead in UEFA Futsal Main round Group 2 as the first of the six mini-tournament begans in Poland.

Gliwice held
In the day's second game, Polish hosts PA Nova Gliwice played out a 4-4 draw with Serbian side KMF Ekonomac Kragujevac. On Friday, Luparense know a win against Kragujevac would confirm a top-two finish and an Elite round berth while Gliwice take on Nikars. This pool ends on Sunday; the remaining groups start next week.
