CATO FOR ENGLAND
FC Enfield are proud to announce that Aaron Cato has been selected to represent
Enfield in the upcoming International Futsal Competition in Cean, France
Aaron played for a FA XI in June and form there he has been attending trials with
the F-30 Futsal devepolement squad once a month,
He will join up with the England squad on the 26th October and take part in the
competition at the Zenith Centre in Cean.
England meet Netherlands on Tuesday 28th and then play either France or
Montenegro on the Wednesday 29th October
Aaron is currently playing football at Harrow Borough, having previously
played at Cheshunt this season.
But its his futsal at FC Enfield in the FA National League Southern Division
that has provided him with the chance to represent his country at the highest
level.
He started his small-sided Career with the WE Boiz playing at Southbury
Leisure Centre in the Southbury Sevens and after success there the team
moved into playing futsal in the Enfield Futsal League.

Team Bath 1 v 5 FC Enfield
FC Enfield travelled to Bath on sunday to play Team Bath from the Midland Division
with both team coming mid table in the regular season it was going to be an
interesting encounter.
The game got off to a fast start with both teams having some good chances early on
in the game Sean Wiggan in the Enfield goal pulling of a couple of good saves.
9 minutes in the Enfield pressure paid off when Captain Grant Osborn found the net to
put his side into a 1-0 lead.
Enfield tried to push further in front but found the Bath defence did a good job and held
them at Bay.
After 15 minutes Enfield went into a 2-0 lead through Aaron Cato, the blasted a shot
past the Bath keeper to increase his sides lead.
At half time it was 2-0 to the visitors Bath had a number of chances but Enfield managed
to get them to long range shots and anything near the goal Wiggan cleaned up.
The second half saw bath on top and they had again some good chances but could not
find the net Strong defending again kept them out.
On 25 minutes FC Enfield struck a blow when Grant Osborn go his second of teh game
to make it 3-0 and push his side out of the Bath reach.
On 31 minutes Bath found the net to give them something for all there efforts and make
it 3-1 , but it was all to late as Enfield struck back within seconds when Kirt Osborn made
it 4-1.
With 5 minutes to go Justin Dickinson struck the ball from distance and made it 5-1.
Team Bath played some good Futsal in this there first game of pre-season, some sharper
finishing and Fc Enfield not having Sean Wiggan in there goal and Bath could have scored
a couple more .
For FC Enfield this was a good run out having not played for 6 weeks, they will be looking
to continue this performance and push on to the new season.
