FIFA Futsal World Cup Brazil 2008 (Sep 30- Oct 19) Alessandro Nuccorini, coach of the Italian Futsal national team, makes no secret of his respect for the other contenders in "the toughest group in the World Cup," as he told FIFA.com. "After Russia and Spain, Portugal are one of the best teams in the world. They’ve yet to win a trophy, but they’re undoubtedly ready for it. Thailand are much improved thanks to their European coach, and they’re strong and enthusiastic too. The USA are physically powerful and capable of troubling anyone. And Paraguay are one of the best teams in South America," Nuccorini declared. |

Solomon Kurukuru has arrived safely in Brazil for the FIFA Futsal World Cup after a marathon journey from Sydney that began on Thursday evening two weeks ago and continued until late Saturday night. Kurukuru will be guests of the Goias Esporte Clube for the next two weeks, using their facilities and playing a number of practice matches against local Brazilian Futsal teams. |
